Her research is on vulnerability and prevention of depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, and obsessive compulsive and related disorders. She examines the effects of environmental and cognitive and behavioral styles on these conditions and has also developed an intervention to prevent the development of depression that has been tested a NIH funded research study. Her teaching expertise in the area of depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, obsessive compulsive and related disorders and Cognitive Behavior Therapy and she is credentialed as an Academy of Cognitive Therapy consultant and trainer.
