Temasek Laboratories@NTU is hiring a Research Scientist for a credibility assessment project. The Research Scientist will perform a variety of functions related to research. The candidate is expected to work closely with the project team to perform task assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature search and conceptualize theories to methodology

• Conduct qualitative and/or quantitative data analysis

• Write new project proposal and lead in project technical work

• Liaise with academic collaborators to review project progress

• Write research deliverable reports, publications and present findings

• Present research findings to funders or defense partners 

Job Requirements:

• Minimally Bachelor’s degree in in Strategic Studies, Psychology and its equivalent

• Applicants with PhD preferred

• At least 5 years of experience in political violence related research work or at least 10 years of experience in rehabilitation and counselling work, dealing with polarized individuals and identification of people at risk

• Advance certification in culture or language studies will be added advantage

• Prior experience with qualitative data analysis

• Good knowledge in MS office, statistical analysis using SPSS/R or Altas/NVivo Possesses good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Good time management skills

• Strong team player with ability to learn and work independently
