    The College of Arts and Sciences at VinUniversity is recruiting full-time faculty in the following field and track:



    • Field: Psychology.

    • Track: Teaching (Associate Lecturer / Lecturer / Senior Lecturer) or Research/Teaching (Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Full Professor),


    Candidates who have in-depth knowledge and expertise in a specific area of Psychology, such as Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Psychology or Leadership [LS1] are welcome to apply. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their understanding of relevant theories, research methodologies, and practical applications. They should also stay up to date with the latest research and developments in the field of psychology and be able to incorporate them into their teaching. Candidates should demonstrate evidence of creativity and excellence in teaching and scholarly research. In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate experience with fostering, or the ability to foster, an inclusive and equity center-centered teaching, learning, and research environment were all can thrive. Practical experience in the field of psychology, such as clinical work, counseling, or research in a relevant setting, will strengthen a candidate's application. The position also involves advising undergraduates and supervision of graduate student teaching fellows.


     


    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


    Full-time faculty members of the College of Arts and Sciences will have three major responsibilities: teaching, research, and service. The workload allocation will depend on the faculty ranking and faculty track in alignment with generally accepted international standards and practices at peer universities.

    LIVING AND WORKING IN HANOI, VIETNAM 



    • Work permit: VinUniversity will assist in and provide advice for obtaining the necessary paperwork needed for employment in Vietnam (visa, work permit, insurance, etc.). However, it is your responsibility to ensure that you can satisfy all the paper requirements in a timely manner.

    KEY SELECTION CRITERIA



    • Have a doctorate degree in Psychology from a well-established university.

    • Have a minimum of three years of relevant full-time teaching experience.

    • Have a strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to teaching programs.

    • Have good experience in experiential learning methods such as CBL (Case-based learning), TBL (Team-based Learning), PBL (Project-based Learning), ABL (Action-based Learning) and can successfully employ them in all courses.

    • Demonstrate a strong record of research accomplishments or potential for future accomplishments (research track).

    • Have practical experience and industry knowledge in related.

    • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset.

    • Have a high spirit and strong passion for education; demonstrate distinction and/or strong potential in research; agility to embrace changes and take on new challenges; willing to adopt and actively employ new teaching methods; open-minded to new and different environments; team-player willing to contribute to organizational goals and initiatives.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
