The mission of HCC’s Psychology program is to foster a challenging environment that provides a solid knowledge base in psychological science and a broad background in the liberal arts through quality instruction.  The successful candidate will exhibit a passion and commitment to teaching, advising, and shared governance.

  1. Teach a variety of psychology courses, both on-campus and online.
  2. Maintains regular office hours.
  3. Provides academic advising.
  4. Attends regularly scheduled Department, Division, and College meetings.
  5. Participates in College Governance Committees, and other committees, task forces, sub-committees, and other activities as requested.
  6. Assists in curriculum development and assessment of student learning outcomes.
  7. Integrates computer technology into coursework, as appropriate.
  8. Participates in enrollment and retention efforts, as appropraite.
