The University of the South Pacific is seeking a lecturer/ Senior lecturer in the area of Psychology. The idea candidate would have experience in teaching Research Methods and Cognitive Psychology. The appointee will be responsible for teaching, supervising postgraduate students, and conducting research in scholarly publications.
School of Social Science is seeking a Lecture/ Senior Lecturer in the area of Psychology. The appointee will contribute to the development and growth of a graduate program in clinical psychology. The appointee will plan, teach and coordinate courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The appointee will supervise Post-graduate, Masters and/ or PhD level students. She/he will establish and/ or continue a strong programme of
research and deliver high standards of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the area of Psychology.
The Person We Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A PhD qualification in Clinical or Counseling psychology;
- A good record of teaching excellence at the University level;
- Experience in teaching Research Methods and Cognitive Psychology;
- An good record of peer-reviewed academic publications.
For appointment at the Senior Lecturer level, appointees must also have: Extensive experience in clinical or counselling psychology (preferably licensed).
Preference will be given to applicants with:
- For appointees at the Senior Lecturer level, the candidates to have extensive teaching experience at the University level with significant scholarly and professional achievement and knowledge of the Pacific Region.
The position is available for a term of 5 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: Lecturer FJ $73,689 to FJ $96,958 per annum
Senior Lecturer FJ $99,971 to FJ $115,351 per annum
