The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts of Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY invites applications for a full-time renewable Clinical Title Series position to serve as Director of the training clinic (the Harris Center) associated with our APA/PCSAS accredited Clinical Psychology/Science doctoral training program. The Director oversees the operation of the Harris Center, a community mental health clinic that offers evidenced-based outpatient treatment in individual and group treatment modalities, along with assessment services, to a diverse population throughout the Bluegrass region. The Harris Center provides in-person and telehealth services.

The position is a renewable, non-tenure eligible 12-month faculty position in the Clinical Title Series at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Director is responsible for (a) providing administrative oversight and leadership to the clinic, including managing the facility and developing/implementing clinic policies and procedures that align with ethical and legal requirements (b) providing supervision/consultation to doctoral students, (c) planning professional development activities (e.g., clinical workshops) and teaching training-related graduate courses (e.g., ethics), and (d) conducting outreach to maintain community relations. Additionally, the Director (e) works in close collaboration with clinical psychology faculty to facilitate student/faculty research at the Harris Center, as well as to ensure foundational coursework is well integrated with the clinical training.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology and must have the requisite credentials for licensure as a psychologist with Health Service Provider designation in Kentucky. Strong administrative and financial management skills are essential. The successful candidate should have demonstrated a commitment to fostering cultural sensitivity and promoting an inclusive environment. We encourage candidates with the ability to supervise assessments (i.e., diagnostic, intellectual) in addition to therapy. The candidate will be an integral member of a diverse and productive faculty in clinical psychology.

The Clinical Psychology program is fully accredited by both The American Psychological Association (APA) and the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS). The program has 11 faculty, brought in over 8 million dollars in external grant support last year, and is housed in a larger department including Cognitive Neuroscience and Developmental, Social, and Health areas.
