] at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Cognitive Psychology with a focus on human memory. We welcome applications from scholars whose research investigates any topic in the study of human memory, but we are particularly interested in hiring scholars who study memory in the context of two areas of emphasis. In one area, we seek to hire a scholar who studies issues related to learning and instruction (e.g., how can research on memory and cognition be applied to enhance educational practice?). For the other area, we seek to hire a scholar who studies memory dynamics either between individuals, between individuals and external resources, or at the level of groups or societies at large (e.g., collaborative memory, transactive memory, collective memory).More generally, we seek colleagues who will complement our existing strengths in Learning and Memory, Language and Interaction, and Perception and Performance.

Applicants should be actively engaged in research with the promise of continued research productivity. In addition, they should be capable of teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and contribute significantly to the mentoring of graduate students.
