The Department of Psychology at Colorado State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Psychology. This position is at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2025. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate excellence in both teaching and research. We welcome candidates with a wide range of research expertise in human neuroscience research. Candidates should be able to teach undergraduate and graduate level coursework in biological psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and specialty courses related to their area of research interest. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field, or anticipate completing their Ph.D. in one of these fields by 08/1/2025.
Required qualifications:
- The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field, or anticipate completing their Ph.D. in one of these fields by 08/1/2025.
- The candidates must be appropriate for the Assistant Professor rank.
- The candidates must also have an active research program in Human Neuroscience and Psychology.
Preferred qualifications:
- Evidence of an active, high quality research program with the clear potential for establishing an independent laboratory
- Demonstrates a clear and consistent record of publication using neuroscience tools
- Experience in undergraduate instruction and mentoring in neuroscience-related topics (e.g., cognitive neuroscience)
- Experience in graduate instruction and mentoring in neuroscience-related topics (e.g., cognitive neuroscience)
- Evidence of the capability to obtain external research funding
- Evidence of interdisciplinary research
- Ability to advance the University’s commitment to diversity, social justice and inclusion
- Post-doctoral research experience is preferred.
