Expertise: Dr. Christensen is a clinical health psychologist and clinical researcher. His research program has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs and involves the study of medical regimen adherence and behavioral self-management among patients with chronic and complex medical problems. A longstanding, underlying feature of his research has been a conceptual and methodological focus on the interactive relations among individuals and the social, environmental, and clinical contexts within which they manage their own health and healthcare.
