Lisa Ernst, MSW, LCSW received both her BSW and MSW from the IUSSW in 1985 and 1986 respectively. Lisa has twenty-eight years of post-Master's experience in the clinical setting. Those settings have included long-term care, health/hospital and presently child welfare. Her clinical practice has focused on work with children and families dealing with acute and chronic life-altering circumstances such as illness, disability, end-of-life, abuse/neglect, substance abuse and domestic violence. Lisa also has been trained in Motivational Interviewing and TF-CBT. In addition to her micro practice, Lisa has extensive experience in social work leadership and staff supervision as her current responsibilities in addition to teaching at IUSSW include being the clinical director for The Villages, the largest non-profit social service agency in Indiana. Prior to that, Lisa had the privilege of directing the social work department at Riley Hospital for Children. Lisa is currently teaching courses in both the BSW and MSW programs.
