The School Psychology Graduate program at Tufts University seeks qualified candidates to teach a graduate level course on social, emotional, and behavioral interventions in schools. This course will be held in-person at our Medford campus between the dates of July 2, 2024 - August 9, 2024. 

ED 191: Tier 2 Social and Emotional Interventions and Supports in Schools. Tu/Th 9:00 am - 12:30 pm (in-person).

 

This course introduces students to the use of targeted interventions for students at-risk of presenting with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in schools. School Psychology graduate students will learn to identify, select, and implement empirically-based and culturally responsive interventions to better support student well-being in K-12 schools. Using a framework of Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS), students will develop skills in  facilitating groups for targeted needs, providing empirically supported behavior modification strategies, and progress monitoring.  Students will also develop skills in identifying common elements of social-emotional interventions.

 

 

Qualifications

Doctorate in School Psychology or related discipline and successful university teaching experience are preferred. The successful candidate should have experience in school-based or clinical practice implementing cognitive-behavioral interventions with individuals and groups at the high school, middle school, and/or elementary level.
