Expertise: I am interested in understanding the nature and treatment of anxiety and other emotional reactions to stress, such as anger reactions. I have particular interests in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and panic in adults. My research program is focused on identifying therapeutic procedures that alleviate dysfunctional anxiety and other emotional reactions and understanding the psychological and biological mechanism that are responsible for the reduction of these reactions.
