Expertise: In the lab of our former chair, Dr. Jim Diaz-Granados, Dr. Riley's dissertation investigated the influence of a chronic nicotine exposure during adolescence on a subsequent withdrawal from alcohol dependency in adulthood. The primary focus of Dr. Diaz-Granados's laboratory was the investigation of developmental, behavioral, and neurochemical aspects of alcohol abuse and addiction, using rodent models to elucidate the effects of alcohol abuse.
