My interest in crafting traditions, learning, and archaeologies of landscape. One project involves the analysis of Late Formative and Tiwanaku period ceramic collections, in order to explore changes in "communities of practice" across space and time. I am working closely with modern potters in two specialized potting communities in the Lake Titicaca Basin to explore social contexts of learning, embodied techniques and crafting traditions in a second project. Finally, I am part of a larger collaborative project studying Late Formative social landscapes and settlements in the little explored region on the eastern side of the Lake Titicaca basin.
