  • Specialty Areas: transformations of collective identities in complex cultural contexts, continuities and changes in national and ethnic identities, local and global marketing and culture, cultural practices and landscape, combining the anthropological study of historical processes with structural analysis.

    Before coming to VCU in 2003 to teach anthropology and international studies, Anders Linde-Laursen was as a tenured Associate Professor of Ethnology at Lund University. Funded by different public and private research foundations, Linde-Laursen’s work the last fifteen years has focused on processes of identity formation in modern societies.
