Jhotisha's main research focus is on investigating situational and dispositional traits that help or hinder satisfactory engagement in our environment. Specifically, she is interested in how different levels of control, choice, challenge, willingness to engage, and effort can influence our engagement and stave off the negative experiences of boredom. Jhotisha is also interested in how factors such as boredom proneness, self-control and self-regulation influence our capacity to remain engaged and keep boredom at bay.
