Current research interests include the integration of GIS, spatial statistics, and modeling with environmental and health studies, and the impact of urbanization and climate change on natural environment and public health. I have published more than 35 papers in peer-reviewed journals such as Environment International, Journal of Hydrology, Applied Geography, Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Management, Atmospheric Environment, and Atmospheric Research on various environmental topics ranging from air quality in china, water quality in Massachusetts and Georgia, to environmental health in New York City and Georgia. I have served as a peer reviewer for more than 50 international journals in the fields of environmental studies and geography, including Applied Geography, Atmospheric Environment, Atmospheric Research, Journal of Environmental Management, Landscape and Urban Planning, Professional Geographer, and Science of the Total Environment.
