Expertise: Her research interests are Violence Against Women, specifically Domestic Violence in South Asian community and rural women in the Unites States. She has presented her research on domestic violence in various national and international conferences. She has been the Principal Investigator on two studies 'Coping Strategies of South Asian women facing domestic violence in the United States' funded through the LEADER grant of National Science Foundation and 'Coping Strategies of women facing domestic violence in India' funded through COLA (College of Liberal Arts at WSU). Her teaching interests include Multicultural Competence, Research methods and Social Welfare Policy.
