Expertise: His research interests focus on the impact of institutions on older adults. He is also interested in how transgender persons of color living below the poverty line access services, the experiences of Korean American grandparents who migrated to the U.S. to care for their grandchildren, and is developing a study of older adults transitioning from the criminal justice system back to the community. He is also involved in a campus-wide study of the transformative learning experiences of Monmouth University alumni.
