Details | CLINICAL SCIENTIST SPECIALIZING IN DIVERSITY. The Department of Psychology at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position in our Clinical Science program. We are seeking applicants who have research and teaching interests focused on diversity, a strong research record, and high-quality clinical training from a clinical science perspective. Postdoctoral training and license-eligibility are highly valued. A member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and continuously accredited by APA since 1954, our Clinical Science program has a history of generative collaborations within our areas of specialization (clinical neuropsychology, clinical child and family, clinical health psychology, and general psychopathology); as well as with the Psychology Department’s other graduate training programs (Cognition and Neural Sciences, Developmental, and Social); additional departments and colleges across campus (e.g., Educational Psychology, Ethnic Studies, Family and Consumer Studies, Gender Studies, Psychiatry, Social Work, Sociology); and transformational centers of excellence such as the Consortium for Families and Health Research (C-FAHR). Applications from individuals whose research interests lend themselves to such collaborations are particularly encouraged. The University of Utah also is home to the National Center for Veterans Studies, Health Sciences Center, Neuropsychiatric Institute, and Research Park, as well as being adjacent to Primary Children’s Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital, where substantial opportunities are available for collaborative research and training involving clinical populations. |
