Ajman University’s Department of Psychology, within the College of Humanities and Sciences, is seeking a highly qualified Assistant or Associate Professor in Mental Health to join our dynamic faculty team. We are committed to providing our students with excellent education and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Mental Health or a related field from an accredited university in the United Arab Emirates.
- Expertise in Mental Health Psychology.
- At least (3) years previous university teaching experience.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- The applicant should have published papers in journals within the global databases (Scopus).
- The applicant must be fluent in both Arabic and English.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver courses in designated areas of study.
- Uphold the fundamental standards of the University, including Teaching, Research, and Service.
- Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, providing feedback to promote student success.
- Research, organize, and manage instructional resources, course outlines, and community networks.
- Actively seek methods, procedures, and resources to effectively achieve course objectives.
- Support and participate in accreditation initiatives.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Ability to work effectively with a multiple diverse community.
- Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
- Program planning and implementation skills.
- Knowledge of computerized student information systems
