    Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is ranked among the world’s top universities.


    The Economics Programme under the School of Social Sciences (SSS) consists of 29 full-time faculty members and offers degrees at the undergraduate, MSc, and PhD levels. The Programme has established recognised strengths in applied economics and behavioural economics, alongside core areas of econometrics, macroeconomics, and development. Faculty members regularly publish in leading international journals, engage in interdisciplinary collaborations, and contribute to policy debates in Singapore and beyond. NTU Economics hosted the 2023 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society, the primary Asian meeting selected by the Asian Regional Standing Committee of the Econometric Society.


     


    Full Professor in Economics


    The School of Social Sciences at NTU invites applications for one opening at the rank of Full Professor in Economics. While strong candidates from all fields will be considered, we are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in corporate governance, crime and policing, and the use of big data in applied economic research.


    The successful applicant should have a distinguished career as an outstanding educator and researcher, and an acknowledged leader in his/her field. Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and public engagement will also be valued. The successful applicant will be expected to oversee curriculum review and reform, drive student recruitment, mentor junior faculty, formulate research strategies, and provide leadership within the subject area and the university community.
