  • Assistant / Associate Professor in Counselling Psychology

    Ajman University’s Department of Psychology, within the College of Humanities and Sciences, is seeking a highly qualified Assistant or Associate Professor in Counselling Psychology to join our dynamic faculty team. We are committed to providing our students with excellent education and fostering a supportive learning environment.


     


    Qualifications:


     



    • Doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field from an accredited university in the United Arab Emirates.

    • Expertise in Mental Health Psychology.

    • At least (3) years previous university teaching experience.

    • Commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

    • The applicant should have published papers in journals within the global databases (Scopus).

    • The applicant must be fluent in both Arabic and English.


     


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


     



    • Develop and deliver courses in designated areas of study.

    • Uphold the fundamental standards of the University, including Teaching, Research, and Service.

    • Evaluate and monitor individual student progress, providing feedback to promote student success.

    • Research, organize, and manage instructional resources, course outlines, and community networks.

    • Actively seek methods, procedures, and resources to effectively achieve course objectives.

    • Support and participate in accreditation initiatives.

    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


     


    Skills Required:


     



    • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

    • Ability to work effectively with a multiple diverse community.

    • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.

    • Program planning and implementation skills.

    • Knowledge of computerized student information systems
