    The Department of Psychology in the College of Arts Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY seeks to fill two tenure-eligible faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in the Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program. These are 9-month positions in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025. We are seeking individuals who specialize in health disparities, including mental and/or physical health outcomes. The Clinical Program is PCSAS- and APA-accredited and has a well-established clinical scientist training model and highly collaborative faculty who are eager to grow the program. At the University of Kentucky, Clinical Psychologists regularly lead multidisciplinary research teams and recruit research participants from a variety of clinical settings, including the Psychiatry Department, Markey Cancer Center, Kentucky Clinic, Gill Heart and Vascular Institute, Kentucky Neuroscience Institute, Eastern State Hospital and Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. The Clinical Psychology Program also has an “in house”, community-based Psychological Services Center that affords the opportunity for clinical supervision and research. The successful applicants will have an established line of research, as evidenced by prior peer-reviewed publications and presentations. Applicants whose research focuses on health disparities are encouraged to apply, but the specific research area is open. Applicants whose research takes a strength-based approach are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the teaching and service mission of the department and will be prepared to teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses.

    A PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology is required. The successful candidate will have earned their doctoral degree from an PCSAS- or APA--accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program, have completed an APA- or CPA-accredited internship, and be licensed or license-eligible in Kentucky.
