    We are excited to grow our faculty and invite Lecturer applications for the fall 2024 semester. 10 Month Lecturers are non-tenure track faculty and teach 30 credits for the academic year. Teaching assignments may be assigned at any of Kean’s New Jersey locations - Union, Ocean, Princeton, Skylands or Kean Online and may include day, evening and weekend courses. Evening hours are required for teaching graduate course assignments.


     


    Lecturers are required to teach, provide student academic support, provide service to the university and community and perform other related faculty responsibilities. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is also required, consistent with University guidelines. 10 Month Lecturers are responsible for performing their teaching and non-teaching responsibilities for the ten-month period of their appointment.


     


    College of Liberal Arts, Department of Psychology


     


    Marriage and Family Therapy - to teach courses supporting the Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy program, with the ability to teach classes in support of a range of undergraduate and graduate-level Psychology programs. Non-teaching hours will be devoted to clinical supervision, maintaining and developing clinical placements, student advising, program development and innovation, recruitment and departmental and university service. Faculty provide coordination, continuity and consistency in instruction and administration. Candidates must be experienced or highly knowledgeable in their particular fields and, where relevant, have had experience in curriculum and program development, advisement and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.


    The faculty member will support the Department and Office of Accreditation and Assessment in securing program accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) and approval by the New Jersey Certification Board.


     


    Qualifications: Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field and one year of teaching experience at the post-secondary level is required. Candidate must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an MFT in New Jersey and be an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor (or be in progress).
