The Department of Government and Society at the UAE University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in Public Administration and Public Policy at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The position will be of interest to those with expertise in any Public Administration subfields, such as: Public Organization Theory, Public Organizational Behavior, Public Human Resource Management, Public Organizational Leadership, Public Policy Making and Analysis, Public Budgeting and Finance, Public Sector Governance, and Comparative Public Administration. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Public Administration or Public Administration and Public Policy (as one degree), a strong and continuous record of research published in peer-reviewed journals, a high h-index and citation index in Scopus and Google Scholar, and fluency in Arabic and English. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in public administration and its subfields, supervise master's theses, contribute effectively to the development of the department, and serve the department, college, university, and the broader community. The candidate will also be expected to demonstrate collegiality and professionalism in working with faculty, staff, and students. 1- Ph.D. in Public Administration (or a double major in Public Administration and Public Policy) from an accredited and reputable university granted through a full-time doctoral study and residency. 2- Strong and continuous record of publishing research in Scopu-indexed journals. 3- Strong citation index in Scopus and Google Scholar. 4- High h-index in Scopus. 5- Experience in teaching a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in public administration and public policy. 6- Experience or willingness to supervise graduate students’ research and theses. 7- Strong theoretical knowledge and applied skills in teaching and research in Public Administration. 8- Excellent command of writing, reading, and speaking both Arabic and English languages. 9- Colleagiality and team playing.
- Ph.D. in the double major of “Public Administration and Public Policy”. - Extensive teaching and research in public organization theory, public sector human resource management, leadership, and public policy administration, analysis, and evaluation. - Record of successful research grants. - High citation index and h-index in Scopus. - Expertise in program development, curriculum design and development, and high-quality service record on department, college, university, and community.
Successful candidates will make a full contribution to the academic life of the University through research, teaching, supervising master theses written in Arabic and English, and academic service. They are expected to have extensive teaching experience, together with a significant publication record, proven research experience and to have demonstrated academic leadership and an ability to lead and manage effectively.
