Research Fellowship in “Global Asia"
The Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore invites applications for research fellow for the Academic Year 2025/2026, to start from September 2025 or soon afterwards, subject to mutual agreement.
The main theme of fellowship is on interdisciplinary and transregional approaches to "Global Asia".
The Research Fellowship is for two years, renewable for a second term, subject to performance review and budget availability.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will work closely with NCPA Director (Research & Executive Education), who will serve as the primary mentor, and other research staff at NCPA as well as the School of Social Sciences. He/she will also help coordinate NCPA's research activities within NTU (including Lien Ying Chow Fellowship Programme) and with external partners.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must have a PhD in one of the relevant fields of Asian Studies, international political economy, political science, public policy, sociology, ethnic studies, and global history. Interdisciplinary and comparative approaches to Asian political economy in the context of globalization, new geopolitics, and on-going discourses pertaining to social science theorization are particularly welcome. For those working from the perspectives of China and/or ASEAN, bilingual capacities such as English and Chinese will significantly facilitate the research process. For those working on the perspectives of ASEAN, the ability to use a Southeast Asian native language for research purpose will be an added advantage, though it is not a prerequisite.
Applicants must possess an earned doctoral degree in one of the above disciplines. Applicants should have demonstrated records in impactful publication and research activities in the relevant themes.
