Position description: The Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach CSHD 261 Seminar on Personal/Social Development. This course is designed as a seminar for graduate students to focus on a topic in applied developmental science. The seminar topic is “resilience in development.” The course covers the theoretical foundations of resilience in child, youth, and adolescent development in the context of adverse exposures such as child maltreatment, family dysfunction, armed conflict, systemic racism, and discrimination. Readings and discussions focus on research and application using an ecological systems perspective from the individual neurobiological level to community and policy levels. This class is scheduled to be taught Wednesdays from 4:30-7:00 pm.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Doctoral level degree in human development, psychology, or related field. Prior college-level teaching experience (graduate level preferred).
