The College of Arts & Sciences (COAS) and the College of Aeronautics (COA) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide (ERAU-W) announce an exciting new initiative for strategic growth in Human Security as defined by two interrelated areas: Emergency Services and Communication. In support of this initiative, COAS and COA are forming a cluster of new tenure-track Assistant Professor positions that, combined with existing faculty, will promote ERAU-W as a national leader in these areas. Successful candidates for these highly interdisciplinary positions will have the opportunity to integrate the work of the cluster with existing collaborative entities, such as the new COAS Virtual Center for Excellence in Communication Studies and the developing COAS National Center for Investigations in Emergency Services. New faculty will support existing and planned degree programs in Aeronautics, Communication, Cybersecurity, Emergency Services, and related areas while also establishing a record of excellence in scholarship that demonstrates a promising and ongoing research trajectory. Specifically, the successful candidates will be able to support research initiatives and academic programs in one or more of the following areas: aviation/aerospace electronic systems, communication, computer science, corporate social responsibility, cybersecurity, emergency services, human resilience, network analysis, public relations and new media, statistics and analytics, psychology, and smart technologies.
