The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Justice Leadership graduate program (DEIJ-L) at Tufts University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is seeking applicants for a full-time lecturer position to begin in September 2023. This interdisciplinary program is focused on engaging students with scholarly theories and practical tools for careers leading organizational and societal change for greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. The workload consists of six-courses per academic year or the equivalent. This includes teaching conducted both virtually and in-person, as well as administrative and student advising responsibilities. The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to leadership efforts including program administration and strategic planning, with potential for advancement over time. This position is for a one- or two-year initial contract with possibility of renewal.
A doctorate degree in relevant areas that include, but are not limited to, Organizational Leadership, Education, Urban and Environmental Planning, Child Study and Human Development, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Cultural Studies, and Political Science. Familiarity or experience with the development and teaching of virtual course is highly preferred. The teaching, scholarship, and practice interests of the successful candidate should be in the areas around these themes broadly conceived. Expertise and experience in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice leadership, organizational change, critical theory, program evaluation, and data analytics are all areas of interest.
