The Department of International Studies at American University of Sharjah invites applications for a visiting professor in sociology for the Fall 2018 semester. Successful candidates will have a PhD in sociology. Prior teaching experience is highly desirable. We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach Introduction to Sociology and a course on Global Stratification. The position includes on-campus housing.
As a university formed on the American model with English as the language of instruction, we give priority to candidates who have experience in American models of higher education.
