The Department of Geosciences at Auburn University invites applications for a 9-month non-tenure track faculty position in Physical Geography beginning August 2023. The position is a one-year appointment that is renewable subject to annual review of performance, need for services and available funding.

The department seeks an enthusiastic candidate who is committed to teaching excellence, actively engaging undergraduates, and able to teach our undergraduate geography courses. The area of specialty is open, though the ideal candidate would demonstrate the ability to teach a combination of introductory Weather and Climate, Land and Water, and upper-division Physical Geography courses, as determined by the candidate’s expertise, experience, and department needs. The teaching load will be three courses each semester. Experience with implementing inquiry, project, or technology-based active learning into teaching will be an asset. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
