Office of Institutional Research
Under the supervision of the Director, the Research Analyst (Professional Services Specialist 3) coordinates and responds to both internal and external data requests, including annual Federal and State reports, external agency data requests and surveys, routine internal and administrative data reports, and daily internal and external ad hoc data requests; produces, formats, and proofread various data reports and profile books; conducts data verification to ensure data accuracy; assists in database maintenance and website development; provides support services to the office; and does related work as required. A flexible schedule and some travel may be required.
Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Educational Research, Statistics, Computer Science/ Information Technology or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in higher education in the area of institutional research or a related area is required. Candidates must be proficienct in Database Language or Data Manipulation Language such as SQL, T-SQL and have familiarity with statistical computing language and analytical software such as SPSS or SAS; Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Words, Excel, and Access is also required and demonstrated ability to utilize internet resources for trouble shooting and problem solving.
