The College of Arts and Sciences at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI is seeking to fill tenure-track positions in social media studies as follows.

We are seeking an Assistant Professor of Psychology (9-month; tenure-track) specializing in social media and/or complex network analysis with focus on cognitive neuroscience as it relates to mental health, self-esteem, group dynamics, online ecology, tribalism, trust, politics, etc. The candidate will be actively engaged in quantitative, computational and empirical research, conversant in statistical analyses, research methodology and design, with interest in teaching undergraduate classes and supervising undergraduate research projects.

Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in psychology or a closely related field with emphasis on social media, a record of peer-reviewed publications, and a strong interest in social media or network analysis research are required. Postdoctoral, teaching, and grant experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities: Collaboration between this position and a corresponding position in computer science ( is required and lead to the establishment of a strong, collaborative, externally funded research in social media studies. Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level and service to the department are required.
