Position description: The Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach CSHD 143-15 Child Mental Health in Educational Spaces. This course is design to provide graduate students and upper-level undergraduate students with an introduction to child mental health and disability in the school context. Overviews of a range of disorders are provided (anxiety, mood, ADHD, developmental disabilities) with an eye toward how accommodations are provided in IEPs. Focus on the role of family and cultural factors is discussed throughout the course. This class is scheduled to be taught Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00-10:15 am.
Qualifications: Expertise in child mental health and/or educational experiences. Doctorate and college-level teaching experience preferred.
