The Department of Psychology ( in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky invites applications for a full-time Lecturer to begin August 1, 2024. The selected candidate will be appointed to a 9-month, non-tenure eligible faculty position for an initial two-year period that has the potential for renewal and for promotion to Senior Lecturer after five years. The position involves teaching three classes per semester and providing advising and/or mentoring services to psychology majors. We seek applicants with a commitment to undergraduate education. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a range of undergraduate courses and be able to serve as an advisor and/or mentor to psychology undergraduates. The anticipated distribution of effort will consist of 80% teaching, 10% service, and 10% professional development. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the teaching and service mission of the department, as well as to the department’s commitment to inclusive excellence. We are eager to grow our faculty and strongly encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds. The candidate will be an integral member of a diverse and productive faculty in psychology. A PhD in psychology or related field is required.
