Tisch College is a national leader in civic education, whose model and research are setting the standard for higher education’s role in civic engagement.

The Institute for Democracy and Higher Education (IDHE) is an applied research center and think tank that studies and works to improve college student political learning for and institutional engagement in democracy. Including student voting, campus environments for political learning, closing equity gaps in participation, political discourse, and higher education’s role in a more inclusive, equitable, and just democracy.  IDHE's signature initiative, the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE) (“n-solve”) is both a service to higher education institutions and a national database for research with over 50 million college students.
