Job Description
The Department of STEM Education & Professional Studies seeks applicants for a 10-month faculty position as a Lecturer of Library & Information Studies to start July 25, 2024. The primary responsibilities for this position are:
- To develop and teach graduate, distance learning courses in library and information studies (2/2 teach load).
- To participate in the administration and recruitment initiatives of the Master of Library and Information Studies program.
- To develop and maintain relationships with employers in libraries, archives, and other related institutions to assist with recruitment, program growth, and placements.
- To participate in the professional and intellectual community through service in the program, department, and college.

Minimum Qualifications - knowledge, skills, and abilities
The candidate should demonstrate evidence of:
- Experience teaching online, graduate-level courses.
- Evidence of teaching ability in library, information, archival and/or technology studies.
- Professional experience in academic, public, school, or special libraries or other information fields.
- Demonstrated breadth of knowledge of the library profession.
- Excellence in written and oral communication.
Minimum Qualifications - Education or training
The minimum requirement for this position is a Master of Library Science or equivalent degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association.
