POSITION PURPOSE

Anoka-Ramsey Community College is seeking an unlimited, full-time Economics faculty member. The primary responsibilities include teaching a variety of economic course offerings. Candidates should be available and willing to teach courses at a variety of times and/or delivery models such as day, evening, and online. All faculty members are expected to participate in departmental meetings and initiatives, and college-wide committees. Continual professional development is also expected. The Economics department values collegiality and collaboration as part of its commitment to teaching and learning and seeks candidates with strong interpersonal skills. This position may teach courses associated with both the Cambridge and Coon Rapids campuses of Anoka-Ramsey, but the primary teaching responsibilities will be through the Coon Rapids campus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirement:

Master's degree with a major in economics OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in economics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A philosophy of teaching that successfully integrates data-driven, student-centered learning techniques to create an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student population.

  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, colleagues, and others – and a commitment to engaging in department and college communities.

  • Experience using a variety of course-delivery methods, including but not limited to face-to-face, web-enhanced (hybrid), and fully online (asynchronous and/or synchronous) courses.

  • Experience in teaching Economics at the college level.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Full-time faculty salaries are based on an evaluation of education and related experience after a job offer has been accepted and currently range from $47,035-$84,192. Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability, paid personal and sick leave, retirement savings plans, tuition waiver for employees and dependents, professional development funds, along with many optional benefit programs.
