The Department of Economics is seeking to hire up to four part-time, non-tenure-track faculty members to teach at least one and up to three undergraduate classes in the academic year 2023-2024. The interest is in Principles of Economics, with emphasis on Environmental Applications; Intermediate Economics (both micro and macro); Business Law; and Health Economics. This appointment will begin September 2023, will be for one academic year in duration, and may be renewable. Compensation is governed by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) governing part-time faculty employment and includes eligibility for health, dental, vision, and insurance benefits, if teaching three or more courses. The Tufts Economics Department is dedicated to effective teaching that both recognizes the diversity of student experiences and that is committed to an inclusive and as equitable a learning experience as possible. Qualifications
All candidates are expected to possess a Ph.D. or to complete their Ph.D. by August 1, 2023.
