The Department of Urban Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University is searching for a part‐time lecturer to teach Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, during Summer 2023. Summer Session I starts May 24 and ends June 30. Summer Session II starts July 5 and ends August 11. This course is open to graduate students and undergraduates.
This course focuses on techniques of negotiation and mediation applied to a broad range of conflict situations, from interpersonal differences to labor relations, environmental disputes, and international relations. It combines practice in basic methods with theoretical and applied aspects of conflict resolution.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold an advanced degree (master’s, PhD, or JD) in public policy, law, urban planning, or related field. Those with real-world experience in negotiation and conflict resolution in government, private practice, nonprofit, and/or community sectors are preferred, as well as those with past teaching at the college-level.
