The Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a one-year visiting position at the Assistant Professor or Instructor Level beginning on September 1, 2018. Preference would be for candidates who can teach Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Crime and Delinquency, and Corrections. We are open to candidates with an interdisciplinary background who can also teach Introductory to Sociology along with the potential to teach specialty topics.

Applicants must hold at least a PhD or ABD status for Assistant Professor ranking or a Master’s degree for Instructor status. The degree should be in Sociology, Criminology, or closely related field (J.D. or L.L.B. is not sufficient).

For full consideration, materials should be submitted by July 13, however the position will remain open until filled. Screening interviews will be conducted and will be followed by a campus visit.
