Position Summary
The Department of Behavior Analysis at the University of North Texas invites applications for a full‐time Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2023. The ideal candidate will direct a strong programmatic line of research that is either currently externally funded or has the potential for external funding that makes a scholarly impact in the discipline. The candidate’s research program will involve students as junior colleagues, align with departmental priorities, and make synergistic use of the partners and collaborators available in the college and the university. The ideal candidate will contribute to the academic success of behavior analysis students through individualized mentorship across practical experiences and research projects and by developing and teaching courses in their areas of expertise. We seek colleagues who will work to make UNT welcoming to students, faculty, and collaborators from diverse backgrounds, so we can achieve our full potential as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) and a Minority Serving Institution (MSI).
Minimum Qualificiations
- Doctoral degree in Behavior Analysis or a related discipline from an accredited institution; must be conferred by 08/2023
- Evidence of research with high potential for external support
- Knowledge of pedagogical and instructional technologies that are responsive to a diverse study body
Preferred Qualifications
- Current certification as a Board‐Certified Behavior Analyst‐Doctoral (BCBA‐D)
- Demonstrated knowledge in a wide variety of content areas in behavior analysis
- Demonstrated in‐depth skill and knowledge in specific area(s) of expertise
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching that supports equity and inclusion for all in the academic community
- Potential for or evidence of community engagement
- Potential for or evidence of ability to attract and effectively mentor diverse students
- Potential for or evidence of effective communication of complex research content to a variety of audiences
- Potential for or evidence of substantial impact on / contribution to the discipline through research and dissemination
