The University at Buffalo, School of Social Work is recruiting for a Clinical Professor (Open-Rank/Field Education) in the Field Education Department. The Field Education Department is responsible for overseeing MSW students’ field placements with social work agencies in order to ensure the successful preparation of diverse graduates for social work practice. Our field education team consists of three faculty and one staff member who are MSW prepared, an administrative field coordinator, and 18 part-time faculty. The department places approximately 450 MSW students in field placements annually, including online MSW students.

About the School
The School of Social Work offers a master’s degree and two doctoral degrees. Nationally ranked within the top 25 accredited social work programs, we enroll over 600 students and offer the MSW degree, online MSW degree, PhD degree, online DSW degree, and BA/MSW, JD/MSW, MBA/MSW, MPH/MSW and MSW/PhD combined degree programs. The MSW and DSW programs have unique and exciting curricula that integrate trauma-informed care and human rights perspectives. The School of Social Work’s Racial Justice Network is a cooperative, pluralist approach to cultivating racial equity in the school’s academic programs, research agendas, administrative policies, and informal culture. The Buffalo Center for Social Research (BCSR) is housed within the School of Social Work and provides faculty support in pursuing external funding. The BCSR is also home to the Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care, Behavioral Health Clinic, Immigrant and Refugee Research Institute, Institute for Sustainable Global Engagement, Institute for Healthy Engagement and Resiliency with Technology, as well as the UB/Amrita Social and Behavioral Sciences Research Institute.
