Counterproductive work behavior and withdrawal
Personal relationships in the workplace (e.g., mentoring, workplace romance)
High-risk occupations (e.g., law enforcement)
My research examines when and why employees engage in negative workplace behaviors (i.e., CWB/withdrawal), along with methodological issues surrounding measuring such behavior. In tandem, I conduct research on high-risk occupations (e.g., law enforcement) examining how employees are impacted by the dangers and culture associated with their jobs, especially non-traditional employees within such occupations (e.g., sex, racial, and sexual orientation minorities). My research also examines in the individual and organizational outcomes of personal relationships in the workplace (e.g., mentoring, workplace romance).
