I bring a strange mix to my current position in that I taught computer science at the University of Florida, have certifications in early childhood and gerontology, am ABD in Ergonomics, and have a Ph. D. in Psychology. I teach a mixture of lifespan developmental and neuroscience courses at Virginia Tech I also coordinate the undergraduate portion of the Behavioral Neuroscience Lab on the second floor of Williams. I am primarily interested in neuroscience, particularly brain laterality and sex differences. I am also supervising research looking at the neurophysiology of boredom and factors underlying the development of ageism. Although not a research interest, I am fascinated by psychopharmacology as well.
