Dr. Dimidjian's research addresses the treatment and prevention of depression, with a particular focus on the mental health of women during pregnancy and postpartum. She is a leading expert in cognitive and behavioral approaches to depression as well as the clinical application of contemplative practices, such as mindfulness meditation. Current projects in her lab focus on the investigation of the outcome and process of behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions, the dissemination of evidence based psychotherapies such as behavioral activation and mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and the development of novel preventive interventions for at risk perinatal women.
