Expertise: Lavina's research interests include the role of culture and norms in international relations, legitimacy and US hegemony, US foreign policy and developments in international law on the use of force, international security, and nuclear non-proliferation issues. In 2009 Lavina was awarded a grant by Macquarie University to pursue a project on the US-India nuclear cooperation agreement and its implications for Australian nuclear policy
