Rebekah has been working in the field of health psychology and psycho-oncology for the past 10 years. Her current areas of interest centre around empowering patients and their family caregivers, and enhancing communication and collaborative decision-making in the medical setting. She is also interested in understanding and improving the long term needs of cancer survivors.
Dr Laidsaar-Powell is interested in the use of online tools to improve health professional education as well as providing online supportive care programs for patients and carers.
Rebekah is an experienced qualitative researcher and has led a number of systematic reviews and meta-reviews.
