Research interests include traumatic brain injuries, stroke, dementia and neurorehabilitation. He has current projects exploring the influence of premorbid and co-morbid factors on the course and presentation of neurocognitive disorders. Other projects include: similarities between trauma response and traumatic brain injury and group rehabilitation of cognitive disorders in a diverse patient population. He is a co-investigator for a phase 2 clinical trial. Dr. Tourgeman is also the co-coordinator to the neuropsychology track and faculty advisor to the neuropsychology club. Dr. Tourgeman is currently as member of multiple professional organizations including: International Neuropsychological Society, National Academy of Neuropsychology and Hispanic Neuropsychological Society.
